Missionaries to Chile

Our Story
Dylan -
I’ve been part of the church since I was three years old. Growing up surrounded by the gospel and church life—as both a deacon’s son and later a pastor’s son—I heard the message of Christ often. When I was about nine years old, I approached my mom wanting to learn more about salvation. After she shared the good news of Jesus with me, I prayed and received the gift of salvation.
Throughout my teenage years, I became actively involved in various church ministries. Every other year, our youth group took mission trips to Juarez, Mexico, and when I was seventeen, during one of those trips, I felt a clear burden and call to missions. That calling led me to study missions at Louisiana Baptist University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree.
Following graduation, I completed a year-long internship in Argentina, and a few years later, I spent three months in Chile preaching and refining my Spanish. My wife and I were married in 2022, and in August 2025, we welcomed our first daughter into the world.

Katelyn -
I grew up as a missionary kid—born in Honduras and raised in Chile from the age of three. For the past twenty years, my dad has faithfully pastored a church in Algarrobo, Chile, where I had the blessing of growing up surrounded by the work of the gospel. Through hearing God’s Word taught often, I came to understand my need for a Savior, and at six years old, after talking with my parents, I placed my faith in Jesus Christ.
Growing up on the mission field shaped my heart for ministry and gave me the opportunity to serve in many areas of the church, including youth, children’s, women’s, and music ministries. Living in Chile also allowed me to become fluent in both Spanish and English, equipping me to serve in a bilingual setting. In 2021, I moved to the United States, where I married Dylan, and together we’ve had the privilege of serving in youth ministry and preparing for the work God has called us to in Chile.

Our Ministry
God has called us to serve alongside the Thompson Family in Algarrobo, Chile, where we will invest the next five years laboring in the local church and community. Our desire is to share the gospel, disciple believers, and strengthen the ministry already taking root in this region. As we serve, we are prayerfully seeking the Lord’s direction for the future—trusting Him to open doors and lead us to plant a new work wherever He calls within the surrounding area.
